Sergeant Major
Servings: 6
Prep Time: 10 Min.
Cook Time: 20 Min.
What you need:
* 1/4 c. unsalted butter
* 1/4 c. diced sweet onion
* 1/2 c. diced celery
* 1/4 tsp. minced fresh garlic
* 1/3 c. flour
* 6 c. turkey broth or chicken stock
* 3 c. cooked turkey, diced
* 1/2 c. cooked white rice
* 1 1/2 tsp. curry powder
* 3/4 tsp. salt
* 1/4 tsp. white pepper
* 1/2 c. heavy cream
What to do:
1. Melt butter in medium sauce pan. Over medium heat, saute onions, celery and garlic until translucent. Blend in flour to make a roux.
2. In large stock pot, bring broth or stock to a boil. Add roux mixture to boiling stock and whisk to combine. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 min.
3. Add cooked turkey, rice, curry powder, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low and stir in cream. Heat gently, but do not boil.
4. Serve. Garnish as desired.

Cheese

Something to do with all the leftover Turkey.
