Sergeant Major
That should get you started, and me too. I know there are
other updates also with the sonic files and all. Good luck.

Sergeant Major
Hey Steve,
Here you go, it is from Snipem.

"SO MOD Install instructions
Before starting this download you need to turn OFF your Firewall and I would also suggest MSN IM just in case. Before you download anything you need to make a file that says SO MOD or whatever you want it to say so that you can identify it as the SO mod. Then go to your Nova Logic file and copy your DFX file and paste it in the new SO Mod file that you just made. You need to make sure that this file is up to date, if your not sure open the game and go to the update box on the left side when it loads up and update your DFX game.
Then go to this link http://www.dfbarracks.com/downloads/index.php?action=dc&cid=20 and scroll to the bottom of the page. You will see the very last file listed there says Special Ops for DFX this is the Special Ops mod for DFX.
and download it to this same new SO Mod file and run it. It will take about 15 min. to do this depending on your internet connection. After you have downloaded this then go back to the same link that you downloaded the SO Mod from and then download the one right above it that says SO Patch For Full Version, Download this to the same SO Mod game file that you created earlier and then run it. After you have done this go back to the same page and scroll to the file that says DFX Terrains EXP and download this file to the same file that you have put the rest of the SO Mod in. When this file opens copy only the files that start with SON and paste them in the So Mod folder. This will allow you to play a lot of the different maps that have come out. At this point you should be able to run the SO Mod game. I realize that it seems like a lot of work but it really is fairly simple to do if you make sure that your firewall and stuff is off so that it doesn’t interfere with the download. I had to try it 6 or 7 times because of this. LOL."

Colonel
Steve, This was not for windows 7, which is what I assumed you had since it was a new computer, I don't know if it makes a difference or not. Thank you Cheese for posting this, I really should have followed up on this. I'm SORRY that I didn't. Let us know what is happening Steve2000.

that goes along with this. When I kill folks, I do not get the beep beep.?

Just wondering.

Forgot to tell all that mods load slower on windows 7, and all drivers do have to be in working order if you install win 7 yourself
