Post subject: Superbowl Munchies Easy Gringo Meatballs

Yield: 96 meatballs
1 (16-ounce) jar hot, medium or mild smoked salsa (such as Gringo brand;
see note)
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon ground ginger
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 pounds frozen precooked ( 1/2-ounce) meatballs, thawed
Step 1: Line a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with aluminum foil. Preheat
oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2: Combine salsa, honey, ginger and soy sauce in a large mixing
bowl. Add meatballs. Stir gently to coat them with salsa mixture.
Step 3: Transfer meatballs and sauce to baking dish. Bake uncovered
for 1 hour.
Per meatball: 38 calories; 2g fat (47 percent calories from fat);
0.5g saturated fat; 12mg cholesterol; 2.5g protein; 2.5g carbohydrate; 2g
sugar; no fiber; 87mg sodium; 7mg calcium; 54mg potassium.
Add a couple drops of liquid smoke unless you can get Gringo Salsa..
