I experienced a similar issue when I was first setting up my HP Notebook running Vista. While running my web browser and word processor it would hang and go to a gray then blue screen. I resolved it by downloading updates to my video card Also, you might as well try "Windows Update".

Sergeant Major
I updated Vista with Windows update, but I could not find an update

for the video card, an Invidia 8400 GS. Wondering if someone

knows something I do not?

Thanks again.

Sergeant
Cheese,

I believe it's nVidia. Search that and you will find latest driver.

Sergeant
Since i run Vista and from that moment also bought an Nvidia 8800 GTs 512 card, i had some times this problem ( 3 times a week).
The screen went black for some 10 sec and after that i could play further with the game.
Only a message that there was a problem with the graphics driver.
After an update at Nvidia the problem seems to be solved.

Do you have an ASUS motherboard ...... if so, there is a known problem with the audio driver and the latest nvidia video drivers ...

..... try disabling your onboard sound in the bios and see if the problem goes away ...... remember ... you wont have any sound ......

If the problem goes ..... then you know what the problem is ......

Sergeant Major
Ran very well, it seems to of only done it when it was a busy map
and I was using a scope. I played a couple busy maps like Lou's
map and ran fine. Updated Windows and Video card.

Thanks again everyone for the information.

Outstanding team of people.

Cheers Cheers Cheers
