General
One of the Great things about the AW Mod ... is the ability to use DFX Maps .....

It does have a problem with the advancing waypoints ....... but maybe this will get sorted out at a later date.

However, The DFX Maps with only 1 spawn point can be used ... I have added a couple to my server ... just to test it out.

These are High Kill maps ...... and we just hate that ...... dont we .... lol

The Maps added are:

Hells Acre
Precinct 13
Serenity City
The Wall by MIA

Request to the DFX'ers ......... what are the other maps with no advancing spawn .....

[size=18]I[ have had the AW MOD, I deleted when ICE came out and now I tried to

reinstall it, got it reinstalled, updated, did the XP service pack 2 and ran as

Administrator and when the game comes up I get into it for a minute

and then I get punted.

Is there a newer version, or something I forgot.

I know D U H.

There may be a newer version ..... You may still have the Beta version ...... if so, you need the v2.0 ...... which is in our downloads ....... or try the ingame update feature ......

Cheese, it may some work to get AW up and running again, but I'm sure you'll find it worth it. The ICE Mod is nice, but there ia an intangible feel to AW that I quite enjoy. It's starting to get durn cold (5 deg. F), too cold to work outside, so it may be time to get back to working on maps. Hope to see you on the battlefield soon!

Hi Cheese,
I went into the AW mod ingame update and downloaded the update. All works fine for me except there were no servers running the AW mod this morning. LOL

As the AW Mod is not "approved", it does not have its own icon. Servers running AW will only show the original Typhoon Rising icon. We have tried to convince all the people running servers, and the mapmakers, to include "AW" in the titles. Not everyone does this.
Some AW servers that are regularily up:
UID-Sink
Rage
Map Makers' Guild (mmg)
Spec Ops Elite
Ops Task Force

The way to get the points to advance is in the map making prcess, you have to add a change team at each of the waypoints in the map. I have done this in some of the maps that I hve made for this mod, and that seems to work, it works the same way as JO.
