1. Baja Gold

Yield: 1 serving

Ice

3 tablespoons Tezon Blanco tequila

1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1 1/2 tablespoons simple syrup (see note)

About 8 ounces Mexican beer

Lime peel, for garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in tequila, lime juice and simple syrup.
Strain into a chilled glass; fill with Mexican beer. Garnish with lime peel.

Per serving: 221 calories; no fat; 1g protein; 14g carbohydrate;
4.5g sugar; no fiber; 10mg sodium; 12mg calcium; 89mg potassium; 23g alcohol.

Note: The simple syrup needed for this recipe is made by combining two
parts sugar with one part water and simmering, over low heat, until sugar is
dissolved. Chill before using.


2. Fresh Strawberry Margarita

Yield: 1 serving

Granulated sugar

3 tablespoons Jose Cuervo Especial tequila

6 tablespoons margarita or sour mix

Handful of fresh strawberries, cleaned and stemmed

1/2 cup or more crushed ice

Lime wedge, for garnish

Wet rim of margarita glass; dip in sugar. In blender, combine tequila,
margarita or sour mix, strawberries and enough crushed ice to make desired
consistency. Process until well mixed.

Pour into glass; garnish with lime wedge.

Per serving: 210 calories; no fat (no calories from fat); no
saturated fat; no cholesterol; 1g protein; 27g carbohydrate; 24g sugar; 2g
fiber; 96mg sodium; 17mg calcium; 174mg potassium; 14g alcohol.


3. Solstice Spritzer

Yield: 1 serving

Ice

3 tablespoons Jose Cuervo Especial tequila

1/4 cup chilled cranberry juice

1/4 cup chilled apple juice

Club soda or seltzer

Fill a glass with ice. Add tequila, cranberry juice and apple juice. Top off
with soda or seltzer.

Per serving: 160 calories; no fat; no protein; 15.5g carbohydrate;
14g sugar; no fiber; 2mg sodium; 2mg calcium; 10mg potassium; 14g alcohol.

4. Livin' La Vita Rita

Yield: 1 serving

1 tablespoon Jose Cuervo Especial tequila

1 tablespoon vodka

1 tablespoon light rum

1/4 cup pineapple juice

2 tablespoons orange juice

1 tablespoon cream of coconut

Crushed ice

Pineapple wedges and leaf, for garnish

Mix together tequila, vodka, rum, pineapple juice, orange juice and cream of
coconut in a shaker. Pour over crushed ice.

Garnish with pineapple wedges and a leaf.

Per serving: 187 calories; 3g fat (14 percent calories from fat); 3g
saturated fat; no cholesterol; 1g protein; 14.5g carbohydrate; 4g sugar; 0.5g
fiber; 10.5mg sodium; 14mg calcium; 164mg potassium; 14g alcohol.

5. Angelita

Yield: 1 serving

Bar salt

1/4 cup Gran Centenario Plata tequila

2 tablespoons Grand Marnier

1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1 teaspoon simple syrup (see note)

Ice

Lime slice, for garnish

Dip a short glass in water and then in salt to rim with salt. Combine tequila,
Grand Marnier, lime juice and simple syrup in a mixing glass; add ice. Shake
vigorously. Strain into short glass; garnish with a lime slice.

Per serving: 248 calories; no fat; no protein; 17g carbohydrate; 14g
sugar; no fiber; 3mg sodium; 3.5mg calcium; 32mg potassium; 26g alcohol.
