Post subject: DF Xtreme 2
Is this Angel Falls renamed or something completely different .... Maybe a filler while we wait for Angel Falls.
http://www.navarre.com/prodhome.aspx?ItemNumber=8032732&Prod=software has some more details ... the release date is 2/9/09 ... is that Feb or September.
This extract was taken from NovaHQ:
Delta Force Xtreme2 will not be based on the Delta Force 2 levels. It will include entirely new terrains but the play will be much closer to the classic Delta Force games, Land Warrior, and BHD, than the first Xtreme. Due to the large number of terrains and assets it will ship on a DVD. Official screen shots should be released soon. There's no firm release date yet as we are still coordinating with our EU distributor, but it looks likely the EU release will be very close to the US release date.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

When i look at that site, i see also release dates like 1/15/09.
So probably the first digit is the month.
Release also 9th of February.
Never saw a review in the game magazines ,though it must be a falls announcement.
BTW. the price is around $30 i see, while a good top game in Europe costs about euro 45.
This is almost the double prize as Novalogic asks.
Budget game also??

When it has been released, i hope this game appears to have enough in it, to replace all mods in the community.
I think ALL that mods have killed the popularity of DFX.
We had VX, Deep Jungle, Bear-Force, VX1 | the best| and SO.
When itīs a budget game, iīll try it out.

I read a quote in that thread over at Nova HQ that said DFX2 would "play more like Land Warrior and BHD than the original DFX", and I must say, this concerns me.
Hopefully, it means that there will be stuff like armories accessible in-map, and not mean that vehicles won't be drive-able. To me, the drive-able vehicles is what sets DFX apart from the previous Nova games (not JO, of course). I hope that as soon as details become available on what will be available in DFX2, that Cally will fill us in.
